Frequently Asked Questions
I've been signed out of my coursework!
Students can be timed out after 60 minutes of being completely idle. Once a student is timed out the platform no longer records progress. Students can reset the timeout timer by moving to another page or saving their progress. It is recommended that students compose extended response answers in Google Docs and then copy and paste the response into their assignment box.
Other factors can cause students to be signed out:
- Losing Internet connection.
- Logging in on another computer or device.
- Logging in from another web browser or tab.
There is no way to retrieve lost information or attendance information if a student is signed out.
My mastery test is locked.
A mastery test is the assessment after each tutorial module. Students can unlock their mastery test by going through the tutorial lesson. They can retake the mastery test by going through the tutorial again. Students may be limited on the number of attempts that they can take a mastery test by their teacher. If a mastery test is locked after going through the tutorial, the student must contact the teacher to have the test unlocked.
General information about attendance.
Student attendance is captured automatically while a student is logged into the course material. Course material is considered a mastery lesson, mastery test, or other assignment. This attendance information is automatically imported into the Maestro Student Information System every night (around 2AM). Please note, Maestro is only able to show attendance associated to a course. Navigating the student dashboard or message center attendance activity is captured (and counted), but we are not able to show this information on the Maestro attendance dashboard.
