Our latest Chromebook model deployed to students has a privacy slider for the built-in web camera. Please ensure the slider is not engaged if you are attempting to take a photo or are joining a video conference.

Web camera is disabled when the red dot appears:

To enable the camera, move the slider to the right:

Web camera is enabled.
